Blue Racer Snake
This was an unusual species of snake treated at Willowbrook during July. It’s a blue racer that was tangled in the netting that is used to prevent heron from eating fish in decorative ponds. It is not a species that is typically found in DuPage County. After he healed from his injuries, he was released in into an area with a known population of blue racers near Coal City, Illinois.
